Saving up to build a custom computer desktop tower.

Since the i7-8700k processor is hard to come by & out of stock everywhere, I'm probably going to build with a i7-7820x processor instead.

Nice man, i build 2 custom PC's so far. its fun and saves a lot of money when you put it together yourself. current rig has a gtx 1070 and 16gb ram and a i5-4670k.

Hmm! And it's less cost than the i7-7820X... I'm gonna keep this bookmarked, I want to pretty much buy everything at once, once I'm ready to pounce.

 

Basically just trying to get gifts for everyone. I already got my girlfriend a ring but can't really count that as a christmas gift.

It is nice having a custom rig. I currently have a GTX 970 and an i5-4690k and love them. It was quite an upgrade over the Radeon HD 7870 and crappy AMD processor I had.

Dude no way that was the exact GPU's i upgraded from, it went from , Radeon 7550, 7870, gtx 970 then to the gtx 1070.

I've bought lots of equipment from them in the past (they're the weird ones who warn you about weekend orders not being processed), but that's the last place I'd expect to look for a CPU. I guess that's why they're still in stock there.

I wasn't willing to put down any money for this because I figure it they are just after my SS#, once I submit an EIN they'd just drop me. Perfect. I guess I should probably find out what this all means for filing my taxes now though. Thank you again!!

 

Nice! It was my first custom build. I technically had SLI 660's for a week between the two but besides that just 7870 to a 970. The 7870 was from 2013-2015 and the 970 from 2015-now

 

I follow stuff on Twitter + /r/BuildAPCSales and saw people lose their shit over B&H having it in stock lol. I don't normally look there either, but they just got some in stock today I guess.
