@Sam breathe bro! If you get frustrated at the money you are not making you can't see the money you can make.

Don't focus on the trivial like hourly wage and crap. That shit's like a PRE to me. Stay away from time sucks! Look for surveys with bonuses. If the lingo is too cryptic at times DM someone for more details but usually someone here will chime in pretty quick on the thread. The more people see you helping yourself the more they will want to help. I've seen some pretty heavy hitters here just out of the blue give you some fantastic advice, @dan @leafs4_cup and others. I never got that, frankly i'm a bit shocked and a little amazed. And am going to follow suit, I will send you some of my favorites requesters for surveys (and know this, I don't do this, so feel special lol) to give you a jump start. But after that I want to see you staying positive and following advice. The rest you're good to go on.

 

I can also say that before I started doing a lot of Crowdsurf, I never started sentences with "And, But, Though, etc." I do it all the time in normal online posting now. I used to spell OK as "OK" instead of "Okay", and I find myself often thinking that numbers smaller than 10 need to be spelled out. Lol.

Brand New: Didn't make much but I did this: I downloaded "how to books from amazon" basically not much, but a basic starter kit.. and things change fast so info could be outdated, but what the hell the book was .99 I also watched Youtube videos. I also went through back logs and wrote down tips, I tried to figure out "code" words.. I asked questions privately, and I looked at everyone else and said, if they can, so can I. I used to dream of $20.00 days, and then of $30.00 days. I then started to get comfy with those numbers so upped them. I now Have what I want to make and what I absolutely need to make.

I realized: You can make what you set out to.. it just might take you awhile. You will get faster, you will learn who to avoid, and who to work for, you will learn when to start work. And develop your own tips. A lot of it comes down to work ethic, know how, and working, working, working at it. I usually don't post much, because I am too busy hunting LOL. I also now realize it does not do me any good not to get up, take a break, grab some lunch etc..

I loved Cornell LIC, but I found that a lot of other people seemed to be really confused by their HITs.
I was making $20/hr. with the ones they started out with, seemed pretty simple to me.

I thought that "say something that's true for 2 sets of images and not for another 2 sets" was pretty damn simple, but maybe that's just my programming background or something.

I'd recommend them to people and they'd get all confused.
That was probably the point I really started distrusting other peoples' opinions on HITs, since I was making an easy $20/hr. on batches nobody wanted to do.

 

It hurt my brain. LOL. But maybe I should have settled down and done the work!

 

Serious question though, at what time do you wake up to turk that nets you that much? i wake up at 8AM EST every morning and is that what im doing wrong? i have HS on for both batches and surveys. I use a long list of requester in OW, im just not picking anything up it seems. thanks btw for any help, i have just been feeling like lately im doing more grinding for the money then its worth. (8 hours for $20)

It's hard mode right now.
It's early morning on a holiday weekend.
Keep your expectations realistic.
Be happy if you find something great, because great stuff can theoretically drop at any moment.
But don't sit there kicking yourself because you're not on track to earn hundreds of dollars on a holiday weekend.

 

Start earlier and see what it gets you, then you will know. I am on Mountain time and arrive to the party around 6:30 AM Eastern time.. does it make a difference, sometimes. I like getting up early though, it isn't a struggle. It is quiet time.
