I have Windows 10 and it decided to install the creators update last night without my consent, i even changed the setting before to where it wont auto download or install updates. Lost all my work and stuff i had open, i am pissed TBH.

I don't think that's a Windows 10 issue.

I think that's either an issue with your hardware (faulty HDD or RAM) or the way you use it (i.e., turning it off with the power button instead of a proper shutdown, accidentally installing malware which manipulates files, etc.).

Every time you turn off your computer with the power switch, you should pray to the Lord Almighty that you didn't just corrupt important files and essentially brick your computer.

 

Yeah I have up times of over a month on windows 10. The OS is fine from a stability standpoint.

Yeah man. My regular job is a freight conductor for a local railroad. I'm also a licensed Engineer too, but I don't have the seniority to hold regular with it, yet. Since I got off the extra list 2 weeks ago, I work as a remote control operator.

Aw, yay. C-SATS milestone.

 

I've not been able to work much more than about 10 or 15 minutes at a time a couple times a day IF I am lucky for the past few weeks. I took a very serious fall in my bedroom about 8 weeks ago and my hip is not doing well at all. Trying to get all the medicare insurance straightened around so I can go back to the doctor ... sigh ... They told me when I fell that they were 95% certain I didn't have a crack or break in my hip or my right knee joint, BUT that it could show up later on ... Unfortunately, I beg to differ with them on both. I am in a HUGE amount of pain as compaired to the day I fell or the day afterward. The only place I am half way comfortable is in my hospital bed with the low loss alternating air pressure mattress. I am not able to stand my wheelchair longer than to get from bedroom to bathroom and sitting in my recliner like I normally do for working is out of the question for more than about 10 minutes.

What a pain in the HINEY!!!

Gotta get one of those wall mounted thingies that will accomodate a 32" monitor, a laptop AND a separate keyboard and mouse ... sigh ....
