I try to pre clean and I was way better at the house, because cheap fixtures seem to get dirty so easily. Between the lack of dishwasher and the fact this place gets dusty and grossly hairy within a day, I’m just tuckered by the end of the day and end up prioritizing.

Walk the dog or pre clean the dishes? Skeeter will 100% pee himself, sooo. Things. We have that tiny yard but skeeter doesn’t like it (no grass) and the dogs around us howl at him so much. He gets so anxious he sometimes won’t pee in the yard and instead will go on the floor at 3am.

It was much easier living alone, now I’m cleaning up after 5 pets and 1 tornado of a grown man who doesn’t cook or clean and recently panicked because he thought his dog hadn’t been to the vet in 3 years.

No worries guys, I make sure Franklin gets his shots and such.

 

I used to be the same way, but I starting using that Habitca app that turns life into an RPG to develop good habits. What happened is that I ended up using it for breaking bad habits. Three years later and I don't bite my nails, I change my sheets once a week, yard work at least twice a month, vacuum, sweep, swifer...

Just applying the training that video games gave as kid where I work for digital points has made a much better person.

Hah, I've seen that app a few places never gave it a shot though. I prefer task schedulers for most of those chore type things. Cool it works though.

For the most part I'm great w/ stuff that fits in the dishwasher. Rinse & toss it in so the sink stays clean. Crock pot just doesn't fit well so I workaround it

 

I was kinda like that. Men can tend to live in this bubble where they don't realize how stuff gets clean because we have always had a women who comes along and does it for us. I just lived alone in my mid 20s and realized how ignorant I was. Like, little elves didn't come around and do all this stuff when I wasn't home. It was mom and then my girlfriend. Learn something new everyday, amiright?
