So far I'm doing well but still not fully healed. I kept my ovaries as I don't get cysts and I didn't want to go into menopause at 42. Never planned to have children so I was okay with losing that option.

Depending on finances, she could freeze some of her eggs and use a surrogate (you?) to carry the baby. Also, if she hasn't discussed with her Dr. an IUD may help. Since she has/had cysts it may not be a good idea as the Mirena IUD that was suggested to me has a chance of causing cysts. It didn't help my symptoms at all but my Dr. said it works great for some women.

You're so sweet to worry about her health and support her. I know how much of a strain it can put on a relationship when it's bad all the time.

Oh so the hysterectomy itself doesn't force early menopause? Interesting. I was under the impression that really messed with hormonal balance and stuff.

As much as I love her and want to raise kids with her hellllllll no am I getting pregnant. I made that decision a long time ago. She did try birth control at one point (not sure if pills or an IUD) and that's what gave her the cysts in the first place, apparently. I used to have issues too, though not as bad as her, and birth control is what fixed it for me (I had heavy bleeding so bad in 5th and 6th grade that I was staying home from school, and no doctor would prescribe something at that young age.), so I really felt bad when she told me her story.

It's part of being in a relationship? It's only once a month at most? It doesn't even hit every month, thank goodness. She usually can pop 4-6 ibuprofen when she starts feeling them and that + heat + distraction makes it bearable, so it's just when that doesn't work. I guess I figured everyone will have some health problem at some point in their lives?

Me either. And it was 1 of the only 2 pandas I was running, either www or the worker ones. My pandas really haven't been doing too good since Friday.
