Mine are the same way, they entertain each other for the most part, and only care about me when it's time to eat or bed time. And they hate cat toys, but love hair ties. I'm forever finding their little hair tie stashes when all mine disappear.

I remember you asking. Glad it worked out for you. Playa is for kids and tourists. If you're a couple Isla is the place! Miss it so much. Also love love love the Riviera Maya! And there's an island in Panama made up expats that's pretty sweet as well.

 

My cats are the same way. Totally in love with each other. They cuddle constantly. Our house is like a cat paradise. They have wet food and dry food, a huge toy box, multiple cat perches, two floors to explore, regular nip sessions, etc, etc. From the front window they have a view of the street with pedestrians and cars, and at the back windows they have a view of a creek with all the little woodland creatures and birds their hearts could desire. That's kind of why I'm at my wits end with this and I don't know what to do. We moved recently so they've been getting adjusted to another cat, but the other cat is never around because he's either in my roommate's room or outside. We're getting a multi-cat feliway diffuser so maybe that will help. It's not like they're acting out for lack of attention, so idk.

 

Bearnie likes to bring me gifts, which are always things he thinks are rad like milk rings, Bobby pins, the pop tops from cans, pennies, etc.

The first time he did this, I thought he was just done with the milk ring and didn’t want it anymore so I threw it out. BIG MISTAKE. He started freaking the fuck out. So, I have a container that I keep all his gifts in and siphon them into the trash when he isn’t around cause he will stare at me and wait for my reaction.

The best long term example of this was when Bearnie ate my nose ring as a kitten, when I took it out for like a damn minute to clean my nose up. I told Matt, but I guess he wasn’t sure if I was joking or not. Fast forward a year later and Bearnie drops a gift in my hand- THE DAMN NOSERING. It took me a second to figure out what I was holding, and then we laughed so hard we cried.

To this day I’m not sure if he just spit it out and hid it or puked it up and stashed it...no idea.

What was funnier about that that scene was everyone ate the bird like it was the toughest beef jerky they ever encountered and guzzled water to wash it down.
