    The first thing I did was buy some 18" OEM rims for an E38 (M3).

    M# was and still is the preferred "Sport car for Bimmer" in America. Europe it's the 6 and the 8 series.

    The GM 4L30-E were the GM built ones. Not a terrible tranny but not as solid as it's brothers the 4L60-E and 4L65-E which are based on the mechanical 700-R4. Early electronic shift trannies and transfer cases suck really. I go manual when I can to avoid this issue :lol: plus more fun to bang through the gears on your own. For automatics though I like the 4L60-E and 700-R4 I put those in where I can. My Trans-Am though may be getting a 200-R4 though because the dimensions are closer to the TH-350 that's in it and I wouldn't have to shorten the drive shaft.

    :eek::D That would be a fun project to do *adds it to my list*
