Yep. In my and my friends' experience, everything changes around age 27.
Boyfriend is 27 now, and he is still in denial. But I'm seeing it happen. (Can't tolerate the same shitty foods, can't survive on as little sleep, wounds take longer to heal, getting more random pains and extra acid reflux, etc etc etc.)



Freaked me right out how suddenly things shifted for me. Now I enjoy watching others go through the change.

 

Watching your friends approach their 30s like

 

27? More like 19 for me.

 

My daughter will get me makeup and stuff like that that she knows I don't get out to shop for. My son will get me something tech related or something for the kitchen cause he pays attention when I say I want/need something.
Dave will get me something off my amazon wish list that one of the kids orders cause he hates to shop. Though he does occasionaqlly get jewelry and we were looking at new wedding rings(long story) so that is a possibility. But after his nightmare at Zales last year getting me a mother's ring it is going to be really hard to get him to go to another jewelry store and he swears he will never buy another thing from Zales again

Can confirm, 28 now and everything just suddenly stopped working, except for you know who >_>

Watching the seemingly invincible realize they are mortal is morbidly satisfying, after it's happened to you. Hah.

The sudden switch from being in 24/7 healing mode into very-slowly-decaying-into-death mode is pretty jarring on the mental capacities for a while there.

 

I'm pretty sure I got the short end of the stick with this stuff!
