Hmm, no reviews on any platforms. Probably not much of a chance messaging 'em but I suppose it's worth a shot.

Does anybody here have one of the new late 2017 inspirons?

I've been thinking about getting one but idk if the 4k panel is worth it?

I just got the Inspiron "new" gaming 7000. It doesn't come with the 4k panel though, so I guess I can't help much. I've played with it in the store, and honestly, it didn't seem worth it to me

Is the 1080 panel good? I've seen reviews from "it's okay, pretty good" to "at least it's not the tn" to "you might as well get the 4k because you can't even see this panel it's so dim"

I mean, I guess it's the difference between $999 for the i7/16gb/128 or $1125 for the same deal but with the 4k display. I guess I'm just worried about app scaling.

Personally, I haven't had any problems with the brightness of my screen, and neither has my husband, who's coming from a macbook pro. Now keep in mind, both of our computers were over 7 years old when I finally upgraded, so we're comparing it with 7-year-ago top of the line tech.

The colors are a little less intense than my old computer, and compared to my pixel it's downright drab, but apparently that has to do with preventing ghosting or something, but when I'm not actively comparing it side by side with another machine, I don't notice it.
