11/30 - Threshold Thursday!

Hey it's nowhere near as bad as She Looks Like Sex.

 

I've never been up there at all. I get all nervous nelly driving in cities I don't know, and I'm not a fan of crowds... but I like things that happen where crowds are and I like meeting people. Yeah, I know. But I'm really thinking I wanna attempt it this year. Is it consistently good through the season? Like, is this weekend just as good as the weekend of Christmas, or vice versa?

@jessers, any input? You've been before, right?

Well here's something nice and unobjectionable.

 

Today's Projected Earnings: $41.64 + Bonuses: $1.75 = $43.39

Well that's the best I've had since I've come back. At least I was finally hitting PREs with my new setup, so I'm happy. That means I can start tuning it.

We talked about this the other day, and I think I may have hit an $83 day once, maybe it was $76, I can't be bothered to go back and check my old spreadsheets. Either way, I'm convinced that's the best that can be done in 15 hours with no closed quals.

Right now, Sergeys are counting as closed quals. Welp, that's what I get for taking 20 months off.

I'm not going to grind that hard because of diminishing returns. I've had some nice quals and the work is so much easier... if I have to grind 15 hours to make $80... I can find other things to do.

I came back and in 30 days I paid *all* of my bills except for Rent for 2 months. That's significant.

The other thing is Opportunity Cost. I did not dip into my Cryptos this month, and golly gee, they skyrocketed in the last 6 weeks. So the measly couple hundred I made actually = a lot.

That's mTurk. Instant cash.

For those who are geographicaly or otherwise isolated, I totally understnad why they grind hours. Others have the temperment. I don't, and if you do and take 1 day off a week, or 4, why feel bad? Make no excuses for anyone.

You got Amazon accounts on here and Requester accounts keeping people motivated with this constant topic. If I have to feel like I'm grinding for more than a couple of hours a day, I'm mTurking wrong in my book.

For the Hax0rs: That's been my Portable App startup image (minus Pedobear) for a long time. Nice little security measure and the little fella = 20 minutes of cardio vis a vis Mood Elevation.

Thats how I've been doing generally all week as well and most of the time I'm low quality content messageing and not working...or doing something else while I wait for something. I'm fine as long as I can pay my junk and have a little left over and while I could probably do more... I might lose my mind.

However there are days I wish I had 5's qual or something and I'd just do it forever in a turkathon...

 

Am I chopped liver? I have to be hidden away? LOL PM me when you'll be back in town. Eldest and I are thinking about squeezing a quick trip up there (one night, maybe two that driving has its own days). It actually won't be this weekend that we'll be able to go up. We should be figuring out this weekend if/when we'll be able to before Christmas.
