Out of curiosity, how many jobs do you folks run on average in Panda Crazy? I'm usually somewhere between 15-25 myself, unless I run a bunch of a certain requester's pandas while they're dropping different batches (ie csats).

I'm not sure if it's the best strategy mathematically, but I like to keep my job cycle small so I don't miss anything I want. Meanwhile scrape and stay on top of Overwatch... or just do something else while it's slow.

 

I try not to have more than 3-4 running, unless it's slow and i'm just fishing for old surveys.

So perhaps my job loop is on the bigger end? If I have a good batch or two going then it's only 1-3, but I don't usually have that luxury. Ha!

 

Think of a panda like you think of the min-wage lackey stock boy in your local retail department store.

If you call that dude up and ask him for 50 different SKUs his eyes are going to glaze over and not tell you if anything is in stock in the back. If you only call him about half a dozen or less he still might not find them because he's not the brightest bulb in the bunch but at least he'll glance at the stockroom for ya.

mTurk pandas are the same thing. The more you toss onto the call pile the lower the odds of any individual one being found by that fat panda crawling around mTurk's servers trying to find stuff.
