    I was asleep-ish, but kept seeing freaky things that woke me up. It was like a mashup of a ton of gifs from today and the stupid aliens from th alien language hit. It was horrible. I neeeeed sleep, but my parents will be here in less than 48 hours and I am just. not. ready. for that craziness for the next, um, 12 days.

    There are usually several blow ups while they are here. We all try really hard to keep them in check, but I've walked out of my own house before, and last year I refused to finish cooking Christmas dinner. Hopefully they'll find lots of things to keep them busy this year. Some years are better for that than others.

    Ditto. Well, I kinda like my mom - we can say things to each other and it blows up and then blows away. My dad on the other hand, I tolerate because he's a good grandpa, and I'm kinda stuck with him because mom never comes without him. He can be a real jackass.

    ... rolls into room ... looks around carefully ... doesn't see anyone overtly missing ....

    assumes no one here was hurt in train derailment yesterday morning ... Got an alert on my phone and almost had a heart attack until I got hold of my BFF who takes the train EVERY morning to work ... Found out it was Amtrack and not the Sounder ... phew!!!
