12/20 - White-out Wednesday!

People say Macs cost too much. I just got a $2200 Gaming laptop loaded with the latest Win 10 and have already had to "reset" it 4 times and still have errors like on boot I get a "Mail client not found" error that according to Microsoft is a known issue but have not been given a fix except to install another mail client, but I like the version of outlook that came with it and it is not my main email machine. And, when I try to install iCloud Drive I get an issue that says windows media player is missing and to install it. It's already installed and I have tried about a dozen fixes for it so I just have to bakup my files directly to the web. And no I don't want another cloud service. I have AWS S3 for business stuff and all my machines have iCloud Drive cause I like the way it works and its cost

Post office lost a gift I ordered for someone so I got a refund and went to reorder $20 price drop .....Christmas bonus

 

My sleep schedule is still effed. But I made 30 bucks in the last two hours.

This is not normal for me besides when zoltars were around. If my schedule was better I'm curious how high I could go... this week seems nuts and not normal.

Both of my Macs I have just plugged in and used without a single problem. My Macbook Pro I have been using since 2009. I just put an SSD in it a few years back. Only issue ever was one with Microsoft Office

They are expensive but I think it's a case of you get what you pay for. I am adding an SSD, 16GB more RAM and an M.2 SSD to my new Laptop so it wil top out at over 3 grand and I could have gotten a Macbook Pro less the powerful graphics for that

The laptop market is fucked in general so it is closer in general to OSX ripoff prices but for desktops you can get a desktop for a fraction of the price with the same specs or better

Actually the reason Apple comps are so good is that they control the hardware, software and peripherals so tightly. They don't allow anything in that doesn't fit their blueprint. The Foxconn internals aren't really expensive. They just follow the blueprint that has existed for years
