12/30 - Soon Saturday!

I think my dog sheds a pound of hair every day regardless. It is basically an undercoat rake. It seems to mainly pull out the soft hairs and not the guard-hairs. It helps, but there's no stopping the need to vacuum on a regular basis... in my case, I only need to empty the canister once per vacuum session. lol

 

Undercoat rake is supposed to help remove more of the undercoat when brushing, which is where most of the mountain of daily hair comes from, and I love it.

 

The thing about the furminator is that like I literally can keep brushing her forever and the hair never stops lol. I don't though since I was reading too much is bad for them (not sure, but I figure its probably irritating to do it too much), but like 3 times a week does cut back on the massive tumbleweeds.

 

I use that on my shepard/lab/whatever the hell she is mix. WOrks great if you do it regularly. My problems is keeping up with it. She also doesn't spend much time outside.

 

I'm looking for a photo of all of my dogs together and I ran across this one which still cracks me up from when we were cleaning the cats shelf and removed the cover for it

 

My oldest dog doesn't even shed that much, but he loves to be brushed. He's always liked having a hard scratch on his back, so I do it pretty often. For him it's mostly because he keeps matting up from having wiry hair.

 

So.. is this the worst time of the year for turking? Sure seams like that to me, but I have very few closed-quals. None for anything that pays decent and has consistent work. I just can't seem to find anything decent lately. No sergeys, no internal worker, no VRAPIs, etc. I have a decent list of good requesters going, but they aren't posting very much this week. There aren't really any decent surveys even.

I can only do $5/hr batches for so long before I get frustrated looking at my PE hardly rise.

When I had a long haired golden retriever chow chow mix, I think I woulda died without my roomba, but I had to empty it a lot. It made a considerable dent in the horror show though, which I was thankful for.

The combo of 2 short haired dogs and 3 cats has about ko-ed my apartment though.

Oh, and me. I shed a lot too.

 

I think it will pick up starting next week. You've got a lot of people home for the holidays turking more, so there is more competition, and the surveys are less because the kids are not at school... and probably other things I'm not thinking of. Or I'm totally wrong on all of it.

 

I don't think it's about a competition for work. I'm still collecting some of the usuals and snagging other stuff off OW just the same. It's just a lack of decent HITs IMO. I hope this drought doesn't last much longer after NYE.

I second that. Reminds me of the view from where my brother used to live out in Wyoming. Beautiful country in the high planes/mountain areas.
