I've been there, I get it. <3 The part that eats at me is when they phrase it, "worse off than everyone else" or whatever, when I consider very harsh poverty situations in the country with people who don't have basic education, sanitation, don't have any resources or the know-how or opportunity to procure resources, accompanying malnutrition, illiteracy, etc.

No offense whatsoever, I'm definitely not trying to define your situation at all because I don't know the first thing about it, just saying for the sake of conversation and accurate data. I'm probably defining the ladder more extreme than they intend it - maybe they consider the fact that anyone in absolute poverty wouldn't be in the situation to take the survey, so that's already the baseline. Who knows, lol.

Agreed. For me, the bottom rung is destitute with no real resources.

don't now about the feet but once when my youngest and I both had really bad respatory infection I took some of the kids vaporub I was using on him and rub a tiny amount between my upper lip and nose made it so much easier to breath plus of course putting on your chest. forget why I didn't want to just put it on my chest think I had to go somewhere but it definatly eased my breathing
