It's victoza. Do I need it to live, no. Is it the only thing that's helped me lose weight in the last 10 years, yes. Is losing weight critical to enjoying life again, yes.

I'm already tricking the insurance company to giving me a 90 days supply, because they only pay for 30 and it's so expensive I only get a 1 time per quarter cost reduction of $150. So doc did me a solid and wrote the script for 3x more than I take (still a 100% normal acceptable dose), but now I have to pay all 3 months up front.

So the meds around $900 for 1.8 mg a day for 30 days (but I only take .6). My insurance negotiated a rate so I only pay $775.40. One time per quarter "benefit" of $150 off drops it to $625.40. Then I get an assistance discount from the manufacturer, but I'm their max, so I get $100 off.

They do have a patience assistance program, which I will call about, but I doubt I'm eligible because, as shitty as it is, I do have insurance.

I'm on the brink of finally being below 260 for the first time in 10 years....I don't want to lose this....

and we make too much for prescription assistance program....I figured that was the case, but it's still absurd that they just look at our gross income and don't take into account how much we're already paying out of pocket for non-covered medical services
