    48 x 24 with some really nice local hardwood on top was my last one.

    But cheap and compact was the goal with this one. I don't have as much space to sprawl out with anymore, and since I'm not working with audio anymore, I don't need the extra space for monitor placement, MIDI controllers, etc.

    Sawhorses are great too. My desk would be more stable if I used one. But they're spendy compared to a simple piece of wood.
