I'm 5'4" and like you did lots of sports. My senior year the basketball coach would not leave me alone. He wanted me to play so bad. I finally asked him why since I'm not tall and he said that he'd seen me play soccer and I was so squirelly that he was sure I could get the ball to those that could score. I wasn't sure if I should be offended or if it was a compliment lol

Anytime I've done a survey w/o a completion code I've just entered my worker ID. Never been rejected, but the random one off rejection you'll eat this way far outweighs not getting paid for all the ones that are just setup improperly and want your worker id.

 

Yes! It's all about the soccer. Us shorties can run, dodge, and weave like no other. I also wasn't bad in football in gym class for the same reason. I can still navigate my way through a crowd like I'm a toddler, I just punch 'em in the shins and keep moving.

 

There have actually been couple of really good NFL players that are around that height (Trindon Holliday and Darren Sproles) who are successful in their roles as offensive players because they also happen to be fast, change direction quickly, and are hard for defensive players to keep track of.

But the height issue definitely limits your options. As long as you're willing to play to your strengths, you can be fine, though.

That's one of the things that's really cool and unique about football:
The varied roles means that there isn't just one physical prototype for the game.

You've got several prototypes:

- Big heavy sumo-wrestler linemen, meant to act as a wall,
- Bulky-but-also-lean defensive ends, strong enough to break blocks but also fast enough to reach QBs,
- Linebackers with the prototypical average-jock-who-lifts-weights build (average height/proportions, extra muscle -- excess height reduces tackling leverage),
- RBs with basically the same build as linebackers (excess height reduces leverage when you're trying to break tackles),
- Fast, short kick/punt returners who blend into a crowd,
- Tall, lanky downfield posession receivers who are built more for speed than strength,
- Short, agile check-down receivers whose lighter overall weight helps reduce their momentum and helps them make agile cuts to break coverage more easily,
- Tall, stocky TEs who do a mix of catching and blocking,
- Punters/kickers, generally with an extremely average body type for a person who is not overweight,
- etc., I'm sure I'm missing some.

Bears have a kid named Tarik Cohen. Listed as 5'6. Exciting as fuck to watch - he's quite quick and sneaky. Kind of scary watching him get tackled, as he's thrown the fuck around. Looks like a 15 year old kid - even started the season with teeth braces.
