Oh I thought that the helmet thing was holding the screen as well like the shitty android VR stuff does.

 

In case anyone is interested:

I dug through the browser cache and came up with the Qualtrics assignment. Luckily it had the URL stuff to make a contact. Just did the old mturk thing and copied over the Contact for another completed HIT, and pasted into the URL:

requester_id
hit_id

And something new to me:

assignment_id

Which I couldn't find anywhere else. Not in my mTurk cache, not in the MTS record, etc. Luckily it was on the Qualtrics URL. Worker.mturk.com just wipes the slate whenever you send it pretty much anything.

The MTS and other scripting stuff actually had an asssignment_id, but nothing that worker.mturk.com would take w/o gaslighting me that Joshua Katz didn't exist or other various helpful messages. One would think that if you had the requester_id at least correct, it'd say *something*, instead Worker just slams the door in your face.

So I await but at least I got at Message Sent instead of "Why the lights have always been the same, my dear" from Worker.



The messaging system is rather less impressive from My side than it is from the Requester side, although I guess they might have gotten spammed in the past... not that I care, all I care about is the $1 Katz owes me.
