I have a free copy of Windows 10 Education Edition with a .edu email address that's still active, so I'm hoping that'll work.

I don't think I should have any problems with hardware either.

I'm getting closer and closer to just doing it. I think I wanna grab an SSD beforehand though and just put it on that.

I hate change- I figure you work hard to tweek something and get it just right and blam- change- start all over- I still have an XP machine that I do all my surfing, art, email, volunteer posting, and goofing around on and I love it- no problems, never messes up- it's like the energizer bunny, just keeps going and going. I just use the Win 7 for mTurk.

 

Granted I'm not the biggest fan of time-travel, mind f'ery as a plot device, but if that turns out to be it, it's up there with Bobby Ewing and 'it was all just a dream.'

 

I was actually going to say that I don't have a problem with it, but watching over an extended period of time, there's definitely cpu spikes in mine. It'll hit ~40% for a second, then drop back down. Only happens once per ~5 minutes or so. It's not really affecting performance on my rig, so @ThisPoorGuy this isn't a complaint in and of itself, but it's not just Vini and Harry.

 

I think at least 80% of TH is way too young to remember such awesomeness.

 

It's not as bad as the theory that it'll end by panning out the shot and revealing that it's just a bunch of nerds playing a tabletop game.
