I think I waited 5-10 minutes or so

 

I did not wait at all I guess I got lucky.

 

Snow is best experienced OUTSIDE in it rather than from looking out a window freezing your ass off . lol

 

Not more than 5 for me- think we ended up with 2.46 or at least that was the last time I made a mental note. We were all f'cked up the first 8 or so turns and then it fell into place. I know one time I responded with the totally wrong thing and I knew it right after, same with my partner- a few times we were just both spaced out- but good game and nice bonus overall.

 

Unless you have a dog who REALLY wants to go after that cat.

I used to have a dog that I would tie to a tree in the front yard with a chain while I was doing yard work. He saw a cat a couple times and snapped the chain (then a metal cable the second time). Dumbass jumped a wall into a neighbor's backyard chasing the cat and wasn't smart enough to realize that he could just jump back over. Had to knock on the neighbor's door and ask them to unlock the gate.

Thinking about this got me remembering why I first got involved with Winging Cats- One of my cats disappeared and I was frantic- had posters all over the neighborhood, reading lost/found online each day, walking the area- calling, calling- responding to ads and going to see if that was my cat to no avail- and in Atlanta, when spring comes you see hundreds, (I am not kidding) of dead animals along and in the road.

One afternoon, I was driving the East West Connector, like I did for work each day, and saw a dead cat that wasn't there this morning in the road. I went home and got a spatula, a bag and a box. I called 911 and told them I needed someone there so I could walk into the middle of a busy road and see if that was my cat. I went, pulled over and waited for the cop. A cop came and I got out of my car with the spatula and the bag. The cop was a lady and she snarkily asked me, "What are you going to do with that?" I told her I was going to look and if it was my cat, I was going to scoop him up with this spatula and put him in this bag, and then that box, and take him home and properly bury him. She stopped traffic and I walked out and looked at him (gross), he was a tabby but not my cat, so I went home.

I kept replying to WCR so many times about a cat and where exactly they had found it that they asked me if I wanted to be a volunteer and help save lives and I said yes.

 

There's a pretty significant memory leak with the newest hit forker, I managed to get it up to 14 gigs in a single tab before it crashed chrome.
