I was wondering this morning to myself: Does everyone in the state of Hawaii potentially now have a claim for pain and suffering due to traumatic stress? I'm not a trained professional but 38 minutes of thinking missiles are on the way should be enough for QUITE a few cases of PTSD. This will be interesting to see.

 

yesterday (the 21st) 1:50 am PST I sent mturk money from amazon payments to my bank account. the transaction is still showing "pending" on amazon payments. normally it would have been in my bank account today after 12:00 am in my time zone. so now I have way less money in my bank than I thought I would.

 

I am sorry, customer service is closed until 8am.

I would guess they'd have to get past sovereign immunity. I wonder if the one guy who hit the button has gone into hiding. Do people generally know who he is? I would relocate for sure.

 

Considering the infographic PHub put up regarding their traffic in Hawaii, I would say most people relieved their stress pretty quickly after they learned it was a false alarm.

• I just realized that about the timeline
• that's fine I'll eat oatmeal in the dark for 3-5 days
• I thought today was tuesday

Most. But there was also probably a few dozen who had to have a stay in a mental hospital after suffering a breakdown. Or people who quit smoking for 40 years having a cigarette. Or a sober alcoholic taking a drink. Or a million other things something like that could result in. Then the person, who, sure-- they made the decision to do what they did-- drink, smoke, kick a baby seal-- whatever it may be-- but they technically did it under duress. That could potentially mess a lot of people up. Or I could be over thinking it.

Yeah I imagine there are quite a few people who had to make the decision "Do I go see x person or y person in my final moments" who now has to deal with the fact that the other person knows you didnt choose them.

That would fuck with me pretty badly.
