Even when I functioned solely on an auto rss alert set up to /r/HWTF, I avoided /r/mturk like the plague. I went to it once then promptly forgot it existed. There are plenty of users who would thrive here (based on the awesome users who have made the switch) and I'd love if they did, but so many are stuck in the "forum people are liars" mindset.

 

After two years doing this, I'm sort of surprised this attitude still exists. And yet, I'm not. I try to tell people, it's a lot like anything else in life - if you work hard at it, you'll succeed. I really fell off the first part of this month because of life, but picked myself back up, and had a better than average week. I'd give my standard reply of "kids..." but it's likely man/woman child people as well.

Whatevs, when people tell me they signed up for mTurk, I tell them to come here. I can lead a horse to water, but can't make him think.

 

Hasn't happened yet, but what happens if you don't complete a HIT in the allotted time?

I've looked at a few other mturk communities, and I think this may have the lowest number of posts about lack of work.

It happens, but I see a lot less MTURK IS DEAD here.

 

That's because everyone is busy posting GIF's.

 

That is why I started to follow this forum. Less whining about what can't be changed.
