    @Hummingbirdee and other grammar nerds: Is it AN university or A university? AN just doesn't sound right, or look right. I'm also the type uses AN historian, not A historian. My brain just broke.

    Since in this instance the U is a consonant sound A university is correct I believe.

    It's if the word has the sound of a consonant or vowel sound to start, not if it starts with the actual letter. University starts with the sound of the letter 'Y', so it's 'a university'.

    Definitely "a university" but you can also skip that altogether depending on how you're using it, "at university" is a common phrasing in other English speaking countries.
