02/02 - Ferocious Friday!

My girlfriend and I have an agreement to never buy a gift for one another. It's a pretty sweet deal.

 

I'm buying myself candy and building my own fort (thanks @GoldGuardian for the inspiration).

 

Same here. Most gifts are a waste of money.

 

That actually reminds me. I just got back from Whole Foods and they had bottles of Gruet on sale for $16. It's a New Mexico Sparkling White that is way better than it's price, but it's from New Mexico, so no one will pay that much for it.

Also, they had up a sign in the beer/wine area that said 'Local Beer 20% Off' and there are no local beers canning/bottling yet, so...

Kinda pissed me off. They have em draft, but I don't usually remember growlers when I go there.

 

Ditto. We haven't celebrated Valentines Day in years.

Yeah, it's great when you don't have to worry about celebrating it. My ex-wife and I would just use it as an excuse to find a restaurant that was doing a cool tasting menu or something unique and blow off all the cards and flowers crap.

 

I got Matt an Amazon fire stick in a near blackout rage last night, because my blu ray is on its last legs, the dogs destroyed the remote, and Matt now refuses to use his remote app because of ads. I was on the verge of punching him because I constantly have to unhook my ultrawide to stream netflix on the tv for him and he's kinda a brat about it.

I was also getting him a laundry basket because he keeps friggen stealing the one I use in the bedroom and dumping my clothes on the floor. I decided to just get myself a new, prettier laundry basket.

I'm a romantic. @THFYM applauded me for getting Matt gifts that are really just for me.

Sure, I'll take him out to dinner and wear something swanky, but those are really just both gifts for me too.

Dear god this is my only real pet peeve with erica. I have two laundry baskets strategically placed in the house. I have gone on rages. I have pleaded, begged, done it myself until I cave in (it's always me).

PUT YOUR CLOTHES IN THE BASKETS

THE FLOOR IS NOT A BASKET. THE BATHROOM FLOOR IS NOT A BASKET. THE BED IS NOT A BASKET. THE CHAIRS ARE NOT BASKETS!

You could also block the ads at a router level so that the app wouldn't have them if you want to but that would be like ... effort

 

He has like...other laundy sacks and whatever you wanna call them, but I have one laundry basket specifically he likes using for his laundry cause he claims it's more sanitary cause he can wipe it down between the dirty clothes and clean clothes.

I don't friggen know. He's fucking weird.

 

but what if I wanted to take the shirt off the kitchen floor and wear it again the next day. The baskets are for laundry, dirty clothes. The shirt on the kitchen floor is not dirty.
