Read the slowdown error. It says 30 min but in my experience it is more like 40min

 

It's usually 30-40 minutes. I got locked out for like 2 hours last night, though. When there were two 150 batches up

 

It is crazy how little some parents actually parented when I was a kid. Plus, how most the dads were still pretty racist/sexist in the 80s/90s. Imagine trying to explain non-binary to a dad from that era.

Not sure I would prefer my dad to some helicopter parent though. Both seem pretty awful to me.

If you're talking about raising a kid "through fear" in a sense of being an ogre, I agree. But that's not really what I was trying to convey. Personally, I learned to trust, respect, and appreciate the things my parents did the older I got.

Maybe your generation's different, but as a teenager (read: dumbass) I wouldn't have trusted my parents no matter what they did. Because I knew everything already.

 

@Brandon This is my experience as well. Unlike Endor lockout, it's longer than the time of the HIT and it doesn't work as consistently.

Well that is because Endor is Google and they know what they are doing.

 

My parents were kinda... busy I guess? I think they did okay but they really left me to my own devices a little bit too much. I wasn't getting arrested like my brother so I guess it was "Hey this one is alright, let's focus on the trouble maker". I loved it of course, I was out doing things that could get me arrested but just not getting caught lol.

I mean, I'd definitely be worried about my teenager (daughter or not) having sex and stuff, but I mean, they're going to have sex. It's gonna happen, whether anyone likes it or not. I like to think I will have taught my kid enough to get them to make the right decisions once they're at that point.

But I mean, I don't have a kid. Maybe I will be a nutter who tries to lock them up all the time, but I'm gonna err on the side of 'probably not'.

Kids do make mistakes, I made a FUCK ton of them. All sorts of mistakes, well past and into my 20s (...hell still making them). But, I didn't get pregnant (and no, not because of the whole lesbian thing, I'm no gold star and I've been there and done that...) or an STD because even though my parents weren't the best, they did make sure I knew what happens when tab A goes into slot B, and how to handle the safety of it.

 

I mean the fact that you get locked out for returning a hit kind of says otherwise.
