Obviously I haven't experienced that first hand but I've definitely seen it and that's crazy too

Then you start getting into the way the media portrays everything and how society pushes subgroups into certain ways of thinking and I start getting mad and

 

You said something the other day about how someone said you were "too smart for your skin color" and I haven't been able to get that out of my head since. I was doing the dishes days later and it popped in my head out of nowhere and I got irrationally angry and had to stop doing them because I was afraid I'd break something. Freakin' heartbreaking and disgusting.

 

I am reading this conversation insanely nervously waiting for the hammer to drop, then realization just hit and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Thanks everyone. Of course I didn't remember I needed a new one when I changed out the microwaves. Sounds like I shouldn't be lazy and make the extra effort and stop by Target or Walmart.

 

I grew up in the south, it was a pretty way out town with like 1k people. That's pretty much the only example of outright racism I can think of that someone's said to my face, for all that we shove race politics down children's throats these days. As a kid I was taught that pretty much all "rednecks" are just confederate flag waving racists, but the ones I actually knew were pretty cool.

 

Eminem doesn't discriminate based off of pill color. I learned something here today. Thank you.
