    When I was in elementary school, my dad told me if I ever wanted to go to college, it was on me. I was like 5. I took it to heart though!

    Matt actually paid his mom back for most of the money she gifted him during college. It was rather sweet.

    I feel that people take their education more serious when it is on their own dime. Kids are so entitled these days that if Mommy and Daddy are paying for school they are more willing to one not care or two quit.
