me and my wife hired a cleaning lady once, and it was awful. we cleaned before she got here, because you know, you don't want to look like a slob in front of strangers. then when she left, we got all weirded out that a stranger touched all our crap and we ended up cleaning again afterwards.

I would just feel bad about someone else cleaning my messes.

 

I feel ya man. My mom went "shoe shopping," when I was 6 and things were not great after that. My dad's wife is 6 years older than me, they are both total alcoholics, and they've been dating since she was in high school...I pretty much peaced out after I graduated high school and never went back. Matt always thought I was maybe exaggerating, and then finally met my dad, who drunkenly told me he "resented me for being born," and brutally mocked me all night till I cried and Matt told him off. Sufficed to say, Matt now understands why I don't really speak to my parents. I took every job I could at Clemson just to never go back again.

Good on you for raising such an awesome daughter! You sound like an amazing dad My dad was way too hard on me, but I try to appreciate that he at least motivated me to gtfo the white trash existence. Keep on keeping on man! You's good people!

Yea I wouldn't be able to have a cleaning person, i'd just spend the whole time they were here Grinching at them that they're doing it wrong, and showing them how I like it done.

Although sometimes I think about paying my little sister $5 to come clean my cat boxes, because lazy.
