One of the higher ups at Scaled was/is a professional ice skating judge, so he did a class for the employees where he explained about how they score in depth. Matt is now a little commentator in the corner now, “ she will get extra points for that fist pump because blah blah, “ “ you get extra points for timing your jumps with the music,” “ that’s gonna be a yellow card because blah blah. “

I’m not sniping. It’s actually super neat and interesting. I approve of this info spewing.

 

I would love to see a huge batch this week

 

We need as mellow an interaction with them as possible. Parker was an outside abandoned cat when we found her, and she's not even sure what a cat is (she acts more like a dog in some ways, so we think she was in a house with dogs before we got her). Also, my son cried so often when we first got Parker because he was so scared of her. He's actually *just* stopped fighting with her, like, they've had an understanding since he was in the hospital late last year. So we need to kinda acclimate him easily to the new kitty, and cat fights with Parker and snarling and hissing won't help any of that at all. Plus Parker is finally stopping pulling her hair out. I don't want the anxiety to start it back up again. I'm hoping within a week or so all will be well... but that could be wishful thinking.

My kitties still hate Percy but also my older cat has taken on kind of a fatherly attitude. Basically, he kicks his butt but also licks his butt

 

My daughter is a figure skater. One of the disciplines she competes in is synchronized skating, and her club once had a couple of the judges who do competitions all across the USA give a detailed description of the scoring for the parents. The lower level teams are subjective, but the higher level teams have very precise definitions for how to allocate points, and it is fascinating to understand what goes into judging a sport where you don't have the obvious touchdown/basket/runs counts.

 

I think some of the people who came up with the ideas for this Creative Evaluation Study missed the whole point of the issue they are supposed to be solving.

 

I've seen reviews get "hidden", I think?

Seems like a lot of people over at Reddit don't like TO. Some even claim that workers post bad reviews for good requesters in order to scare people away. A grand conspiracy, I guess...

Julian Michael is getting lambasted on TO. I am aware that he lowered the pay (I never worked on his $.08 HITs). Despite the pay drop, I like a few things about him/ his HITs: 1) He responded very quickly to an email which I sent to him 2.) The fast approval time 3.) Bonuses paid quickly 4.) At least he pays bonuses when extra work is required 5.) All HITs get approved unless your score drops below a threshold (which seems almost to occur if you are following directions). EDIT: In that case, you get barred from the batch.

Maybe he dropped the pay 75% because only 75% of the work was done correctly?

 

Yeah, our flags if another person or moderator does as well will "hide" a review. They will still be visible to everyone if they go to the requesters page. That's about as far as we can go to remove problematic people.

 

Has anyone just asked why he dropped the pay? Lol

 

I was wondering that myself. If nobody had I figured I would tomorrow

 

The pay is fine for what it is, I'd imagine the people who are giving him poor reviews cannot see the bonus amount they get for answering more than one question. The old 8 cent ones were for like 3 questions vs. only 1 for the majority of the latest batch.
