I just caught two more of those $1.50 Googles. Completion code is the same etc. What the heck do I do? I submitted my second but I am holding off on the third.

Anyone know if the following speeds are decent for turking? Wondering because it seems like I'm getting a bit of lag in accepting HITs today :

Download speed : 28.05 Mbps
Upload speed : 6.04 Mbps

How is that in terms of average, above average, slow, etc?

 

Should be fine. I've turked on slower.

That should be just fine. It shouldn't take too much to browse the web until you get to high media load and scripts. mTurk has a slowness factor built right into it (a joke, maybe).

 

I guess everyone at this point uses Panda's and TM, so probably shouldn't ask, but were you able to use TM's/have multiple Panda's running on it, catch things, etc? Could have my TM timed wrong today or something, or maybe it's PC lag(more likely)

If anything's gonna get in the way, it's probably gonna be your hardware.

The speed is below average for the US now that the average has inched up to around 50 Mbps down due to Comcast, TWC (Charter), Verizon, and Google providing increasingly higher speed. (Though, Comcast and TWC are still shit.)

Should be more then fast enough for turking. Not the fastest in the world but mturk doesn't have the highest requirements in the world either.
