I made it past the screener question--but the way it was worded was so confusing that I do not even know if I actually answered it correctly. I went through the survey and received a code and submitted but I am not sure if I should have---but it seemed like a good time for some "scared money".

ALL (seriously, I cannot make this big enough) data that is transferred to & from your phone is subject to be sent to them. If your mobile banking app sends you data while you're working on a HIT, it can be in the log. If your SO sends you a dick pic while you're working on the HIT, it goes in the log file (well, maybe not the actual pic, but the accompanying sexy talk possibly). A lot of it depends on how the apps on your phone work. I just checked a 30 second log file, my entire contacts list is already sitting in it in plain text lol. With that said, its most probable:

They probably don't give a crap about your data. Seriously. Its like saying all of your DMs here get logged in clear text & I can read them (they do & I can if I wanted to so just CC me on all your super sekret batches pls) - they're (probably) not gonna read it because they couldn't give 2 shits unless home-girl getting the file is just a nosy person. Just know its all being transmitted so that if something later happens (like your e-mail gets compromised or something stupid like that, or you do get a dirty DM while you're working & maybe you don't want it logged for whatever reason) you know you need to go through and do damage recovery.

OTOH, a company who either isn't aware this is the case or doesn't give a shit - IN MY PERSONAL OPINION - is also highly likely to handle your data with the same negligence they collect it with. That is to say, they damn well may forward, upload, or otherwise disseminate that log file to anyone/everyone/the entire world, intentionally or not. Is your full name going to accidentally get uploaded to some public dropbox or server & be cached by google? Do you want that coming up on a cursory google search of your shit? Your family's shit? Idk. Those are all personal questions you can ask/answer yourself. Did a background app accidentally upload a conversation of you talking mad crap about your boss? Did you accidentally upload HIPPA non-compliant data from your job to that log file? Are you tech savvy enough to know if you did/didn't to any of the above? Are you an all-knowing being to consider the innumerable ways something like this could bite you in the ass?

Obviously I'm a tinfoil wearing nut job in his bunker who isn't even connected to the Internet. I'm actually uploading all this text with my psychic energy crystals or some cray cray shit because I feel like a moron even typing half of those scenarios but people never seem to care until its too late lol.

I know I throw you shade for this stuff all the time, but for everyone else I just literally don't give two shits about my data and privacy, but I also take some precautions. Please heed Chris's advice on this if you're a nub.
