If you feed and house the teen you should. I claim my child's friends since they are here 3-4 days a week (usually overnight) and MONNNNNNTHS during the summer.

They're there. I think I have a drip system that feeds them. Not sure, but they're alive!

I have the opposite of a green thumb as well, so the whole desert lawn thing is probably for the best.
