Caffeine isn't necessarily unhealthy, but I feel as if it's portrayed in unhealthy ways. The caffeine addict who cannot wake up in the morning without at least two cups, the one who needs multiple to get through a day, the Starbucks addict, etc. I don't drink coffee because I think it's gross, though.

I completely agree, I would certainly not label caffeine as "unhealthy". I think a lot of things people do to it are unhealthy (like adding sugar and creamers made of corn syrup and hydrogenated oils, etc.), and I think there are unhealthy amounts of pretty much everything. But naturally-caffeinated substances like tea and coffee are not inherently unhealthy to consume -- there are pros and cons, as with anything else. I also agree that the majority of "foods" available to us in the US are unhealthy in much smaller amounts than they should be, and tea ought to be the least of many peoples' concerns health-wise (but that is also just my opinion).

For the record, I am not trying to eliminate caffeine from my diet. I'm merely skipping my morning tea today because I had a lot of heart palpitations yesterday due to a condition that my mother also shares, and she noticed that caffeine has the effect of increasing her symptoms, so I'm testing a theory.

Yea I can agree with you there. Though that may be placebo for some people because don't you develop a caffeine tolerance where the stimulant effects are no longer felt?

 

Didn't update windows 10 for about 1-2 years and decided to last night because I figured it couldn't be that bad. Boy was I so wrong... I'm never updating my Windows 10 again. I rather just get hacked.

 

Why would you ever update Windows 10?
