i never really transitioned either of my dogs, sorry. neither dog came with any food so it was just, here's your new food. yes, you can change the subscription frequency and i receive an email notification every time my subscription is about to ship and i can change it at that time too.

 

That's a gorgeous dog! On Wednesday I'm bringing Louis to their house for Easter break so I'll have to upload a picture of them together then!

On a side note, have you ever introduced a big(and wild) puppy to a younger smaller one before? I'm worried he will jump too much on the little guy

Unless you're Skeeter, in which case you will eat any dog/cat food you sense is in the vicinity and never seem to notice if it's even yours. He literally pilfered our friend's dog food by prying the top off their container this weekend.

He wasn't sorry. Mind you, he eats the same food consistently, but I've never seen a dog so happy to scarf down literally any food he can get his grubby little paws on. He once tore open cat food and ate most of a 3 pound container when I went out for a walk with Frank.

Skeeter is never sorry. Skeeter helped steal a package of hot dog buns with the cats today, he was not sorry. He sat by the door with a shit eating grin cause it was clearly worth it, while Frank just stared at me with half a hotdog bun dangling out of his mouth and the cats bailed.

I really love how much of an ass that dog is

Yes on two occasions. No real issues for me. The big dog will let the little one know who's the boss soon enough. The only issue could be with feeding. I have always 'self feed' meaning there is most always food in the bowl. They eat when hungry. On occasion the little one will want to over eat, so I had to get out two bowls and stand between them as they ate their meals.

Thank you, Louis self feeds normally and I'm not sure what the little guy does for meals yet.

 

That's too bad. Most collies are so kind. Had a young niece sit on the back of one and play with the dogs ears - dog didn't move an inch.

 

I'm knee deep in deciding between Taste of the Wild vs Science Diet myself lol
