This is the one I earned the $8.25 on.... it's really a game of chance and probability. It took me about 10 minutes.

Let's be honest though, and I"m jumping in totally not reading any of the back thread first, generations as we used to know them have gotten all messed up. There isn't really any more set generations. People are having kids at 16 while their mom's are having kids at 37......generations just don't have clear lines any more.

Doesn't it matter where you were born too? I mean because out here we just finally started getting paved roads and motorcars so I'm not up to date with all the hip shit millenials are up to. Right @Ballistic406? We are at least 1-2 generations behind.

I'm pretty sure the generation that held testicle festivals is more along the lines of "caveman" than "gen x" but :dunno:

They must have pulled them. There were quite a few. I didn't do any as I was working on something else. I bet they weren't working and they will put them up later.

imo the idea of set generations has always been almost complete and utter bunk (especially since there's a large amount of evidence that the alleged differences have more to do with the fact that you're comparing people in their 20s to people in their 60s which, no duh, have different life goals).

Yeah, I've got no problems with that. I'm good with leaving all people who grew up with a Blockbuster or something similar off the list, for instance. When people started spouting out their SAT score and it was over 1600? Sounds like a Millennial.

They had more credence back 100 years ago, when most 16-18 year olds were getting married and having kids and starting their own farms and whatnot. Once it became socially acceptable to wait until your thirty to get married and have kids, we screwed generations over.

I really feel like the baby boomers were the last true generation we had, but even my husband has an issue with the fact that a generation of "yay we didn't die in war, lets have kids!" lasted for 20 years lol

For me, they were helpful when researching family histories. Some times records would fail to be like "hey, this person is X person's kid" and based on ages and average known characteristics of that time's generation (like how old they were when they got married), you could figure out if two people with a 40 year age gap were father/son or grandfather/grandson. Nowadays you'd have no idea unless it was expressly stated.
