Ugh just 10 more rnrs and then I can go to bed.

 

It's amazing to me that, no matter how "innocent" a subreddit is, it's not immune to typical Reddit drama.

r/freebies? If it's a political freebie, expect to hear a lot of opinions.

r/frugal? It's a constant struggle between people who believe frugal means "don't spend any money, ever" versus the more rational "do what you want, but find the cheapest way to do it."

r/obscuremedia? "That's not obscure, you son of a Grinch!" Meanwhile, the same four or five videos get posted every month, instantly negating its obscure status.

r/buyitforlife? People complain when it's an older item that's not for sale anymore, or an item that lasts a long time but "wasn't made to." Also, hardly any tips on how to properly maintain and take care of items. And, God help you if you mention anything that requires electricity.

That's why I treat Reddit like a national park. Take the good information, and leave only downvotes.
