I remember because I was trying to pull my first tooth out on Leap Day 1992. I spent all damn day working on that thing but it wouldn't come out. I woke up on March 1st and it was just sitting on my chest.

February 29, 1992, the day I found out I was a weird kid...no one had the heart to tell me before

That’s exactly how I was. My vision is livable without glasses, but everything is just a bit worse than it should be. Growing up, we definitely did not have the money to get an exam, let alone glasses, so I just lived with it. I had been getting headaches from trying to read notes at work (doctor scribbles/shorthand), so after work one day I was just like, “okay, fuck this.” I drove to Walmart and got an exam and I’ve been 4-eyed ever since.

 

I did $50 in two hours and have been watching anime ever since.

I'm putting all my extra moneys towards a trip to electric forest this summer so I have to stay kind of motivated.

 

I woke up from the anesthesia during one of my wisdom-tooth surgeries, and the surgeon was kneeling on a board they had placed on the arms of the chair, leaning back pulling on what looked like a giant set of pliers in my mouth. It looked like that Three Stooges scene with the dentist.
