    I cut all that out and went to mac minis. I was running Dell 2800's with redundant 750W power supply's in them and 2 Asus w/ quad cores with Corsair 850W power supplies. I ran a Kill-A-Watt on them and the PSU's all were totally scalable. They only used what was needed but 150W 24 hours a day is still a lot. The Mac-Minis only have 125W power Supplies on them and are 3+ series quad i7's with 16 GB ram

    You also have to consider that before I even moved in I remodeled and on of the things I did was to run 2 high Amp 220 lines up to what was going to be my server room ($2500) and I was running a full commercial tower with 2 APC's at the bottom and the servers in rack form. WHat was really expensive that most people dont count on is UPS batteries. THose suckers are EXPENSIVE. I'm talking 350+ for an off brand and their were 2 in each UPS

    When you do your own DNS you can set it up to cache frequently used website IP's but it will never be a true DNS

    You don't know who cloudlfare is? They are huge. I'm not sure if PCMag is relevant anymore anyways.

    Whew much useful.

    Seriously though cloudflare is huge and it wouldn't surprise me if @ChrisTurk has at least considered using them for anti DDOS and caching. I don't think he is using them right now but I'm too lazy to run a query to check.
