    i think you got the right attitude about it. it seems like people are investing more time than they should on this. why fight for a qual that can potentially lead to a batch of rejections?

    I think it's more that knowing there are good requesters is what really highlights the goofus and gallant situation and contributes to the frustration.

    Rowan shows up with big batches of work that are, frankly, ambiguous and kind of frustrating. Then he gives reasonable examples of what he wants, responds to emails in a timely manner with well thought out responses, tells you specifically what he wants, and provides feedback with a nice little note for the work you've completed. If you work with him, he'll tell you specifically what he wants, that way you know you're providing helpful work, he gets the good quality work, workers get trained in the specific task, promoting the virtuous cycle of improvement for everybody involved.

    What I'm saying is; let's all do the Rowan batch dance.

    the biggest difference for me though, is that I think the instructions Rowan provided were good enough to do the task without his help.

    The several iterations of this nonsense prove you couldn't have reasonably passed the test with any mastery of what was expected of you.
