Does anyone here use bluetooth headphones with windows? I have a technical question about battery life.

If I have them connected to windows but no sound is playing does it still drain a ton of power? The 'battery life' on these devices is so garbage >.> I won't have audio playing through them most of the time.

I also will note I used to have to log in every time, and this problem started when Payments took me straight to the overview page without having to log in first. The solution for me is to click on the homepage link at the end, click the log in link, and then I'm fine.
