    Anyone happen to be good with snake species? These two sons of Grinches were making sex on my deck on Tuesday, and the big one swam away, but today I saw the little one. My guess is she has a nest under my deck. That fucker. Some sort of aquatic or semi-aquatic snake. Hopefully not venomous.

    So despite the fact I stayed up until 5am to read a new book "A Berry Cunning Conman" by AR winters (it is a mystery series that is sort of funny), I got woke up at 8:34 and after trying for a hour to go back to bed, I couldn't. The reason: my daughters 1st day of driving by herself. She only had one final so I let her drive to school. It is like a 15-20 minute trip. She texted me and said "I made it but got beeped at a bit". Oh and when I thought I could go back to sleep I got woke up by "Mom I think I ran a red light (she was calling me on the speaker phone in my car but I really need to get onto her about that". I told her keep going so she didn't wreck my car (sigh).

    I did. They all look the same to my uneducated eyes. It's either a midland watersnake, diamond watersnake, northern watersnake, or a water moccasin.
