11/29 - Transcending Tuesday!

What's amazing is that there are still some things on eight-track that haven't been released in a modern format. Due to the nature of the technology some albums were mixed/sequenced differently, and some had songs added that weren't available in any other format. Some cassettes are like that, too, but it's a different experience.

 

You can rip those to FLAC without any 'experience' loss. And those rips exist.

I personally can't do it. I love streaming music, but I also feel compelled to jump around whenever I do it. I need the archaic technology to "force" me to sit in one spot and listen to the whole thing. I'd rather keep the junk around than learn self-discipline.

I just got back from the police department. I took emails, account screenshots, reddit messages, etc as evidence with me. I live in small town Missouri and was afraid that they wouldn't be accustomed to any sort of online fraud or hacking or anything like that. I was correct in that assumption, but I slowly went over everything with the detective and they wrote down a full chain of events and noted important pieces of evidence. She said that they would be in contact again in 3-4 weeks.

And now, time to become very acquainted with KeePass while I wait to hear back from Amazon.

 

Even my ancient self converted all of my home videos from VHS to digital. Now I can create gifs of a lil me driving my dad's sweet Karmann Ghia.

Did you try contacting Kadauchi to see if he could get you in contact with Amazon faster?

Totes. I'm not trying to denigrate anyone else's experience. In fact, just last night I thought about throwing all of my physical media on a server, and may still do it when I have the time, but between my own tendencies and a want to have a reliable hard copy, I'm very hesitant. I just remember how little of the music I listened to back when I filled up a harddrive with music when I personally found it easier to find music online.
