Tbh, we have a financial advisor who handles our stocks, the farm stuff, etc. and just for us personally, and the stupid rising interest rates lately, it far benefitted us to do a large down because we got a significantly better rate for a 15 year mortgage under a certain amount. We are both pretty financially conservative and it was enough of a difference that it’s worth it for us.
