I'm usually pretty decent at keeping what I want covered up covered, but stuff that does happen to get leaked out isn't very much important. My name's generic enough, and I move so much that any information is probably out of date if you stumble across it. I know one time I was trying to dox myself but found every other family member besides myself lmao. Plus my credit is already so extremely shot I'd be slightly more impressed than concerned if someone manages to get a credit card in my name. I'd want them to tell me how they managed to get it lmao

Trying to dox my name is kind of amusing because unless you actually know what you are doing you will just get charities and one other person that shares a similar name.

Which I hate. I don't mind looking like a jackass on the Internet and having it there until the heat death of the universe, but I don't like any information that links me to, well, me.

It's created by a rather trustworthy cybersecurity "expert," and all it does is checks your email address against the lists provided by the dumps. In fact, when I checked it this morning, I'm on two more lists, lucky me. So I've been changing passwords/emails/deleting accounts this morning. That's why I don't like creating too many different accounts to take advantage of free trials. I could completely forget about one and have it screw me over in the end.

One of the reasons I'm so paranoid is because one site I used to frequent had a person there who'd end all of their Internet arguments by doxxing the other person. They once found some guy's place of work and called it over and over to get him fired. One day, I decided to see what I could find on them (but not use it against them). Found their name, spouse's name, place of work, parents' address, in-laws' address, cousin. Spooky stuff.

Yeah, I don't think I have too much to worry about. I try not to piss anybody off, and I don't think anything I have posted is interesting enough. I try to keep all of my screen names pretty generic, too. Stuff that'll get Google to shit itself.

It would still have to be a perfect storm of bad passwords and easy security questions, even with all of that. Either way, it sucks. Hope no money was loss, at least.

I used to be in this small crew with a member who turked overnight from an SRO hotel, and other members either left (fake) yelp reviews or called his boss (can't remember htis was '14) and he got a promotion for great customer service!

    Hey Yall,

    I caught 2 of the $16 HITS:

CEED Lab Development and Validation of an Emotional Speech Set
    TO: https://turkopticon.ucsd.edu/reports?id=A2E31I22O4R9GR

You can only do one, so I am sending the other one back. Both of these PANDAS lead to it, but I don't know which one is the one I am returning:

    https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=35GRDJC93J66WOY9W6MENU44FJW7C4

I guess you can put both on PANDA. Let me know when yall are ready and I will hit return.

That seems underpaid for being a replacement mother for Jesse.

I actually posted on Reddit once about how easy it was to doxx someone and got a bunch of replies asking me to see if I could dig up their identities. I found most, but the ones I didn't find messaged me to let me know someone else (who had just been reading the conversation) had dug up all of their information. Most of the accounts were gone by the next day. This was with little details, like someone mentioning they played in their school band or they'd had record snowfall that year or had a friend who was in the news for something.

The only real way to be secure is to understand that there is no privacy online. Luckily my credit is so bad that anyone who stole my identity would likely contact me later, begging me to take it back :p

Oh I piss people off regardless. At best you might find a name and possibly a selfie or two which I always wipe exif data off of photographs.

Also you should always change passwords somewhat frequently and use long strings of alphanumerics and symbols and varying capitalization, and a unique password for all. If possible have two factor authentication too. I've actually got a book under lock and key that I keep my passwords in. Even if I'm somehow robbed and its' found, what the password goes to is in shorthand which not many people can understand these days. And you shouldn't save passwords for things like Facebook or banking information, and saving passwords always has an innate risk. It's always a risk/benefit thing that you gotta weigh for each site. Also always try to make sure your computer is completely secure, up to date, etc. Especially with Windows OS's you want some good antivirus, antimalware, etc to keep it secure as Windows is the most used OS, it's by far the most attacked. Though even mac users are getting some grief now, though people who go after macs are usually a lot more malicious than Windows attackers.
