Paid Classes/books are overkill for coding on mturk. It takes maybe 2 hours of "class time" online before you're creating your first keybind script or pre-selected radio buttons. Then you'll be going "really? its that easy?"
It's a neat thing to learn but CT talked about the main problem which is ROI. Publicly available scripts go far and beyond what youll be able to do within a week. But you could surpass them and create your own sick shit but the question is whether or not that's something you want to invest towards.
Also even if youre a script master there's still the part about finding the actual hits to script and then making that $$$

You'll see folks crack jokes about how 'vanilla js is best' - but you don't have to listen to them because most of those arguments aren't contextual to producing work specifically for mturk. Unless you intend to become a professional front end web developer they may as well be that drug addict junkie screaming that Jesus is coming back tomorrow at your local super market, and its all just banter between old folks who have nothing left to dick measure with except jsPerfs. Pick what is easiest & shortest to get the job done & get you back to working, which frankly is probably jQuery in 9/10 cases - but w/ all that said if you do take to typing out vanilla js commands by all means, go with the au naturale, that's fine too.

 

I don't know if I quite have the time or drive to do that, but I can't say I'm not tempted.
