    Our neighbor brought home a pitbull puppy. Adorable little thing. They even went out and purchased a dog bed, clothes, and all sorts of stuff for her.

    This morning she decided to let the puppy outside alone. Someone picked her up and brought her back, but no one answered the door. After a while she got in her car and left. This random guy still has the puppy, walking around looking for the "owner". Who gets rid of a puppy like that?

    I tried talking my fiance in to going outside and telling the guy we'll hold her for the neighbor but HE WON'T GO OUT THERE. Now I have to hope that he's still around when I get home for lunch.

    If you are worried about zapping yourself, you can get a "No contact voltage detector" - it looks like a fat marker, the basic ones are like $10. You just wave it around the wires and it lights up if they are live. Home Depot type stores would have them.
