I'm very on and off with MTurk. My main gig is Appen and freelance web dev. I'm also doing UHRS so I'm spread quite thin.

Never heard of the 50k thing, though.

 

That's a low total for so long. Do you do higher paying hits like writing or transcription? MTurk didn't value those as highly once upon a time, still may not, in handing out Masters. Years are in your favor, but would definitely make sure that's over 50k sooner than later so you can hopefully get it next time.

The easiest method is to set a schedule and make enough at once, so you don't need to repeat the process more than once a week, which fortunately is how long cold brew will stay good in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

I make coffee on Saturday, beginning at 2:30 PM. It takes roughly 14 minutes to complete the preparation. On Sunday at 8:30AM I decant and store in the refrigerator, which takes about 25 minutes, including cleanup. If I plan on having ice coffee I will freeze 32 ounces in ice cube trays at this time as well, then transfer them to ziplock bags portioned to dump directly into the blender. Frozen coffee keeps for several months, so even if you don't decide to use it right away you probably won't waste any.

 

For the most part, yeah. The majority of those big numbers come from A9's when they were $0.02 and CrowdSurf HITs before they moved to their own platform. I never really got back into MTurk heavily after the requester rate hike. I took on more Appen projects, accepted more web programming jobs, more "real stuff". Oddly enough, I do like to come back to it from time to time because 1) it breaks up the slog that is 5 hours a day every single day with Appen and 2) It's somewhat fun

Most of the low approved masters are from a long time ago and it prob was an error or the requirements have changed.

I mean we don't know the real requirements but >50k hits is something that any serious turker will have by the time that they do whatever mysterious requirements you need to get into the masters lottery.
