now speaking of notifications, does anyone who uses the prolific assistant extension have an issue with it showing you all studies posted, regardless of whether you qualify? a while ago mine started notifying me of every single prolific study posted and i don't qualify for most, so now i ignore all of them. thinking about turning it off completely

 

i thought when he opened the HIT only for Masters, the chat would be fine. Let me guess you returned too much of his HITs and getting soft-blocked?

the last time I was getting soft-blocked because returned too much. wasn't my fault because the chat system itself was broken. I waited 2 days and he removed the soft-blocked. 2 DAYS. In email, he said only a few hours.

I believe that extension has been borked since prolific overhauled their interface last month

 

I did 26 of them this morning, still doing, 24 of them went to AA but not 2 of them. Should I be scared?

 

go to prolofic and make sure you are logged in on whatever browser you have the extension installed on

No one has reported it on Kada's github, which is by far the best thing you can do w/ an issue in one of those projects: https://github.com/Kadauchi/prolific-assistant/issues

Its really the only reliable way to know its on his radar. Also he posted a userscript for prolific here a few days (weeks?) ago that may be more up to date but you'd have to grab it from his post history.

 

The prolific site is better than it used to be. If you leave a tab open on the studies window, it will automatically update when a study is available, and there will be a (1) in the title of the tab, much like the MTurk HIT queue. I've been managing without prolific assistant thanks to that.

 

don't need to worry. he won't approve or reject. it will auto-approval after 30 days

 

that worked for me awhile back but I actully need to reinstall the extension so if it is bugging out now I wouldn't know maybe uninstall and reinstall the extension
