Even then, still technically against the ToS. That's essentially just a VPN.

They are essentially totally different types of accounts. Its near impossible to change state quals, it won't happen for a country. If its only temporary then just put MTurk on the shelf for the time being, if its permanent then you would look into probably closing your US account and trying to open an international one.

Has to suck to be the Turkers who have Masters and moved to a state that can do barcodes, but to have Amazon drag their feet and never update their state quals.

like how I happened to live in the one freakin' state that can't do rekogs for one year, which is 10 hours away from where i normally live, and that happened to be the year i signed up.

 

I take it mturk has never cared if people aren't actually in the home state their account is in as long as they're still in the US?
